These professional quality sets are used for piston retraction of park-brake actuated rear wheel disc brake calipers on most domestic and imported cars.
These essential tools provide the correct method of applied torque via the center mounted hex forcing nut, to advance the piston back into its cylinder whilst simply turning the integral T-bar.
No longer need to lean heavily on ratchets and extension bars to force the piston home. Helps prevent damage to pistons and boots. They are real time saving tools. Complete kits are housed in blow mold storage cases.
Five (2 & 4 pin) adaptors suit most vehicles: Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Toyota, Ford, GM, Chrysler, etc.
Length: 7.1/2" (190mm).
You simply remove the old brake pads.
Then select the proper adaptor and install her on the 3/8” square in the center screw.
Now, you place the tool in the caliper turn the holding collar counterclockwise until the holding plate pushes against the caliper and the adaptor ins seat against the pistons. Do not over tighten the center screw until the piston bottoms in its bore.
Use your 1/2” ratchet to turn the center screw until the piston bottoms in its bore.
Now, you’re done.
